Zelda's First Day of "School"

Zelda's first day of "school" was August 1st. She is going to a "school" called Habibi's Hutch. Which my friend tells me loosely translates to "My Lover's House". hahaha

The reason school is in quotes is that it isn't a traditional school. At all. They call themselves a "Natural Childlife Preserve". The phrase it pretty fitting. The kiddos just run around enjoying being children. They play in the sprinkler, dance to their teacher's guitar playing (the other day I walked in on some kids rocking out to Joanna Newsom and was quite pleased), and just plain run around crazy.

It is a good place for her to learn good interpersonal skills and for her to learn to stand on her own a little bit. I feel like I have spent the past year and a half with her as my little buddy. It was awesome, but I was so busy with Henry's schedule and my schedule she didn't get many play dates or other chances for building friendships. I think she is going to have a blast here. Parents are always welcome to stay and play. I might have to do that one of these days. I am totally envious.
